Seat upholstery. Faux leather is the entry option. PPM is a polyurethane performance leather. The off white seat is a boucle fabric, Camira Blazer is a woven wool contract fabric, and the black seat is genuine leather. Screens show color slightly differently than real life.

Leg finishes

The Soho Wood stool is a true armchair raised to counter or bar height, with the boxy, fully upholstered Soho body on four tall solid wood legs and a footrest. The arms hold you in place on a high seat, which makes it the stool to choose for long evenings at a home bar, a restaurant bar or a hotel lounge where guests linger. Legs come in walnut-finish beech or solid American walnut. Seat, back and arms share a sprung steel frame in molded foam, with a removable Velcro slipcover in 20 colors, at home in Transitional and Mid-Century bars.

• Choose Counter (24.5 in seat) for 35 to 37 in counters and Bar (30 in seat) for 40 to 42 in bar tops.
• At 22 in wide, allow about 26 to 28 in of counter edge per stool.
• Arms sit 7 in above the seat; check they clear the counter edge or overhang.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Dust the wood with a dry cloth and avoid harsh cleaners. Wood, leather and fabric vary naturally in grain and shade from piece to piece.

Counter or bar height?

The counter stool has a 24.5 in seat for 35 to 37 in counters. The bar stool has a 30 in seat for 40 to 42 in bar tops.

Will the arms hit the counter?

The arms are 31.5 in high on the counter stool and 37.5 in on the bar stool. Check that your counter edge and overhang leave room for the arms to slide under or stop just short.

Which woods are offered?

Beech in a walnut finish, or solid American walnut.

How much weight does it hold?

It is rated for 350 lb.

Why do the prices differ?

Faux leather seats cost least, PPM and boucle sit one step up, and Camira Blazer wool and genuine leather are the top tier. Solid American walnut legs add a surcharge over walnut-finish beech.
