Base finishes

The Soho Slide is the entry price into the Soho armchair family: the same squared, fully upholstered body on a tubular steel sled in chrome or brushed stainless steel. A sled base slides over carpet and rugs without snagging and spreads the load across two runners, which is why it is a favorite for boardrooms, hotel restaurants and waiting areas. The bright metal keeps the look Modern and light. Seat, back and arms share a steel frame with S-shaped springs in molded foam, finished with a removable Velcro slipcover.

Care
Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.

Frequently asked questions
Is this a sled base?
Yes. Slide is the Soho armchair on a tubular steel sled that runs front to back on each side.
Chrome or stainless steel?
Chrome is bright and mirror-like. Brushed stainless steel has a softer satin look and costs a little more.
Does it work on carpet?
Yes. The runners slide over carpet and rugs easily.
How much weight does it hold?
It is rated for 350 lb.
Why do the prices differ?
Faux leather seats cost least, PPM and boucle sit one step up, and Camira Blazer wool and genuine leather are the top tier. The stainless steel sled adds a small surcharge over chrome.
Can I order a different fabric?
Yes. It can be made in your own material: 1.6 yd of fabric or 29 sq ft of leather. Contact us for customer's-own-material orders.
