Seat upholstery. Faux leather is the entry option. Camira Era is a woven contract fabric, the off white seat is an extra loop boucle, and Camira Blazer is a woven wool. Screens show color slightly differently than real life.

Base finishes

The Seminyak Star sets the wraparound Seminyak shell on four straight steel tube legs that splay from a central star plate, a fixed base with the most finish variety in the collection. Plain black or gold legs are the simplest; ring versions add a metal band around the legs, black with brass or walnut veneer with stainless steel, for a jewelry-like accent; and the adjuster versions in chrome, walnut or natural veneer add adjustable caps that level the chair on uneven floors. The shell is foam on plywood and fully upholstered, at home in Contemporary, Glam and Mid-Century dining rooms.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.

What are adjustable caps?

Threaded caps at the foot of each leg that screw in or out to level the chair on uneven floors. They come on the chrome, walnut veneer and natural veneer bases.

What do the ring bases look like?

A metal band circles the four legs: brass on black legs, or stainless steel on walnut veneer legs.

Does it swivel?

No. The Star base is fixed.

Why do the prices differ?

Faux leather costs least. Camira Era fabric and the off white boucle sit in the middle tier, and Camira Blazer wool is the top tier. Plain black and gold bases cost least; the ring bases and the adjuster bases each add a surcharge.
