Base finishes

The Prisma Piston with T footrest is the simplest and most affordable adjustable Prisma stool: a gas-lift swivel column, a polished stainless steel base, and a straight T-shaped bar out front for your feet. The slim footrest keeps the profile minimal, which works along a crowded island or in a narrow galley where stools tuck tightly under the counter. Pick a round base for a softer look or a square base to echo crisp cabinetry. The faceted seat is a sprung steel frame in molded foam under a removable slipcover, at home in Modern and Minimalist kitchens.

• The gas piston covers counter and bar height: about 24 to 26 in of seat height for 35 to 37 in counters, and 29 to 31 in for 40 to 42 in bar tops.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.
