Leg finishes

The Prisma Galata stool sets the Prisma seat on four straight tubular steel legs braced by a footrest, a sturdy, no-fuss base that holds up to restaurant traffic. The tubes are heavier than a wire frame and give the stool a more planted, architectural stance at a long counter or bar rail. Black powder coat is the standard finish, with chrome and brass available for a brighter or warmer look. Plastic glides cap each leg. The seat is a steel frame with S-shaped springs in molded foam, wrapped in a removable slipcover, and fits Industrial, Modern and Transitional rooms.

Planning notes

• Choose Counter for 35 to 37 in counters and kitchen islands; choose Bar for 40 to 42 in bar tops.
• Leave 10 to 12 in between the seat and the underside of the counter for knees, and about 22 in of counter edge per stool.
• Tubular legs stand straight rather than splayed, so stools can sit closer together along a rail.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.
