Seat upholstery. Faux leather is the entry option. PPM and PPM-FR are polyurethane performance leathers; velvet, boucle and Camira Era are upholstery fabrics. Camira Blazer is a pure new wool, and full-grain leather is the top tier. Screens show color slightly differently than real life.

Leg finishes

The Pera Galata is a lean, upright four-leg stool: slim steel tube legs rise almost straight to the Pera seat, joined low by a footrest, for a crisp outline that lines up neatly along a bar. It works in contemporary restaurants, hotel bars and kitchen islands where you want the stools to read as one clean row. Black powder coat is the standard finish, with chrome and brass offered as upgrades. Every leg has a plastic glide, and the seat is a sprung steel frame in injected foam with a removable Velcro slipcover.

• At 16 in wide, the Galata spaces well at 22 to 24 in per stool.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.

What is the difference between the Galata and the Balat?

Both are four-leg Pera stools on steel tubes. The Galata legs rise nearly straight for a slim, upright profile; the Balat legs splay outward for a wider stance.

What heights are available?

Counter has a 24 in seat (32 in overall); Bar has a 29 in seat (36.5 in overall).

Does it have a footrest?

Yes. A steel footrest joins the legs on both heights.
