Seat upholstery. Faux leather is the entry option. PPM and PPM-FR are polyurethane performance leathers; velvet, boucle and Camira Era are upholstery fabrics. Camira Blazer is a pure new wool, and full-grain leather is the top tier. Screens show color slightly differently than real life.

Base finishes

The Pera Cat-Wire pairs the Pera bucket seat with a slim, angular frame of solid steel rod, a lean industrial base that tapers to a small 13 x 13 in footprint at the top. It is the most economical way into the Pera seat, which makes it a natural pick for long restaurant counters, office cafés and multi-stool kitchen islands. A square foot rail runs between the legs, and each leg rests on a plastic glide. Finish the frame in chrome, black powder coat or brass; the seat is a sprung steel frame in molded foam under a removable Velcro slipcover.

Planning notes

• Use Counter (24 in seat) for 35 to 37 in surfaces and Bar (29 in seat) for 40 to 42 in bar tops.
• At 16 in wide, the stools space well at about 22 in center to center.
• Allow 10 to 12 in from the seat to the underside of the top.
• Black frames disappear against dark counters; brass picks up warm lighting and fixtures.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the Cat-Wire and the Pera Wire?

Both use the same Pera seat. The Cat-Wire frame is made of straight, angular steel rods with a square foot rail; the Pera Wire base is a continuous curved wire loop.

What heights are offered?

Counter has a 24 in seat (32 in overall) and Bar has a 29 in seat (36.5 in overall).

Does it have a footrest?

Yes. A square steel foot rail joins the four legs on both heights.

How much weight does it hold?

It is rated for 350 lb.

Why do the prices differ?
