Base finishes

The Patara Stick balances the Patara seat on four thin steel tubes that cross under the seat and splay out like drawn lines, with a swivel at the center. It is the airiest of the swivel Patara bases, a good pick for dining rooms and restaurants where you want movement without a heavy-looking chair. The steel sticks come in chrome, black, gold or brass, or wrapped in walnut or natural veneer for a wood look. The seat sits slightly higher than most Patara chairs, at 19.8 in, and is built from a sprung steel frame in molded foam under a zip-on cover.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.
