Base finishes

The Patara Round swaps legs for a single stainless steel column on a solid round plate, so the seat swivels on one central point and there are no legs to trip over or catch on table bases. A pedestal chair tucks neatly around round and pedestal tables and leaves the floor easy to clean, which is why it is a favorite for restaurants, hotel breakfast rooms and family kitchens. Choose polished stainless for a bright, mirror-like finish or brushed stainless for a softer, fingerprint-friendly look. The seat is a sprung steel frame in molded foam, with a removable cushion and zip-on cover.

• The seat is 19 in high, for 29 to 30 in tables.
• The 17.7 in round plate is heavy and stable; it rests flat, so use it on hard floors or low-pile rugs.
• Brushed stainless hides fingerprints and scuffs better than polished in busy rooms.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.
