Seat upholstery. Faux leather is the entry option. PPM and PPM-FR are polyurethane performance leathers, Camira Era is a woven contract fabric and Camira Yoredale is a looped boucle. The top tier is Camira Blazer wool or caramel Italian leather. Screens show color slightly differently than real life.

Base finishes

Nova Chrome is a crisp, square-armed lounge chair whose upholstered body floats inside a frame of chrome-plated steel tube, a sled base that runs along the floor on each side and wraps up into the arms. Sled runners spread the load, so the chair glides over carpet and sits steady on stone lobby floors. It is the version we see most in condo lobbies and corporate reception areas, usually in black, grey or silver. A sprung steel seat frame molded in polyurethane foam, plus a loose back cushion, gives it more give than its tailored lines suggest.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.

Frequently asked questions

What is a sled base?

The base is a continuous steel tube that runs along the floor on both sides and rises to support the seat and arms, instead of four separate legs.

Is the Nova comfortable for long sitting?

Yes. The seat is sprung with S-shaped springs in molded foam, and a loose back cushion adds softness.

How big is it?

29 in high, 28 in wide and 30.5 in deep, with a 16.5 in seat and 21 in arms.

How much weight does it hold?

350 lb.

Why do the prices vary?

Faux leather is the entry seat. PPM, Camira Era and Camira Yoredale boucle are the middle tier. Camira Blazer wool and Italian leather are the top tier and cost noticeably more.

Will chrome scratch my floor?

The runners sit on the floor, so we recommend felt glides on wood or polished stone.
