Leg finishes

Martini Pyramid Wood Swivel combines two things that rarely meet: a swivel seat and solid wood legs. Four angled wood legs meet under the seat at a swivel mechanism in a pyramid shape, and a metal ring around the legs serves as the footrest so the wood does not wear where feet land. Choose walnut-finish beech or natural ash with a chrome ring, or solid American walnut paired either with a white mechanism and chrome ring or a black mechanism and gold ring. The Martini seat is a steel frame with S-shaped springs inside molded polyurethane foam, with a removable Velcro slipcover.

Planning notes

• Choose Counter for 35 to 37 in counters; choose Bar for 40 to 42 in bar tops.
• Allow about 26 in per stool so turning seats clear each other.
• The metal footrest ring takes the wear, which keeps the wood legs looking new longer.
• American walnut with the black mechanism and gold ring is the dressiest version; ash with chrome is the lightest.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Dust the wood with a dry cloth and avoid harsh cleaners. Wood, leather and fabric vary naturally in grain and shade from piece to piece.
