Base finishes

Martini Max Swivel lets the Martini bucket seat turn freely on top of a four-leg steel tube base, so guests can swing toward the conversation without dragging the stool. The legs are joined by a footrest ring, which keeps the base rigid and gives a comfortable place for feet at counter or bar height. Black and polished stainless steel suit Modern and Industrial kitchens, the walnut-veneer legs warm up a Scandinavian or Mid-Century room, and brass adds a hospitality-style accent. Every Martini Max Swivel Counter or Bar Stool is built on a steel seat frame with S-shaped springs set in molded polyurethane foam, with a removable Velcro-fastened slipcover.

Planning notes

• Choose Counter for 35 to 37 in counters; choose Bar for 40 to 42 in bar tops.
• Allow about 26 in of counter per stool so a turning seat does not bump its neighbor.
• The seat turns on a fixed four-leg base, so the stool stays put on the floor while you swivel.
• Walnut veneer is a real wood skin over steel; wipe it dry rather than wet-mopping around it.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.
