Base finishes

Martini Galata carries the Martini bucket seat on four splayed steel tube legs joined by a low footrest bar, a stance that reads as light and slightly retro at an island or bar top. The splay gives a wide, stable footprint without bulk. Black powder coat is the everyday choice for Industrial and Modern rooms, while chrome and brass dress the stool up for hotel bars and glam kitchens. Every Martini Galata Counter or Bar Stool is built on a steel seat frame with S-shaped springs set in molded polyurethane foam, with a removable Velcro-fastened slipcover.

Planning notes

• Choose Counter for 35 to 37 in counters. The bar seat is 27.5 in, a little lower than most bar stools, so it suits bar tops around 38 to 40 in.
• Allow about 24 in of counter per stool; the splayed legs sit slightly wider than the seat.
• Black powder coat hides scuffs best in busy commercial settings.
• Pick brass where it can echo other brass fixtures in the room.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.
