Base finish

The Marsina chair from Liu Jo Living is a slim Italian dining chair built around a one-piece black metal frame, with four legs that sweep together under the seat like the tails of an evening coat. A soft fabric cover pulls over the seat and back, so the shell stays crisp while the colour and texture are up to you, and a worn or stained cover can be swapped instead of reupholstering the chair. At 17.7 in wide it tucks in close around a table, which makes it a good fit for dining nooks, cafe tables and restaurant banquettes where every inch of aisle counts. The frame is rated for 300 lb and the chair weighs 14 lb, light enough to move every day.

Care

Take the cover off and clean it following the fabric label or with a professional fabric cleaner; vacuum it between cleanings and blot spills straight away. Wipe the black metal frame with a soft, dry cloth and avoid abrasive pads.
