Shell. The Janelle stool has no upholstery: the seat and back are one molded plywood shell with an ash veneer, finished to match the legs.
Finishes
The Janelle Stool puts the molded plywood shell of the Janelle chair on tall solid ash legs joined by a footrest, making a light, all-wood stool for islands and bars. The counter stool has a 25.6 in seat and the bar stool a 29.5 in seat, and both come with shell and legs finished together in walnut or black. Without upholstery there is nothing to stain or wear through, which suits family kitchens, coffee bars and quick-turn restaurant counters. The low curved back gives a place to lean while keeping the stool tidy under an overhang.

Planning notes
- Choose Counter (25.6 in seat) for 35 to 37 in counters; choose Bar (29.5 in seat) for 40 to 42 in bar tops.
- Allow about 22 in of counter per stool.
- Leave 10 to 12 in between the seat and the underside of the counter.

Care
Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Dust the wood with a dry cloth and avoid harsh cleaners. Wood, leather and fabric vary naturally in grain and shade from piece to piece.
