The Isabel Armchair is upholstered from the floor up, with thick, rounded legs and a low wraparound back that read as one soft sculpted form. It brings the comfort of a lounge chair to the dining table, and its compact 24.8 in width still fits around a generous round or oval table. White boucle gives the textured, gallery look that suits Modern and Organic Modern rooms; light brown velvet is warmer and richer for evening dining; black PPM-S is the practical choice for families and restaurants, as it wipes clean. It also works on its own as a desk or bedroom accent chair.

Planning notes

• At 24.8 in wide, allow about 28 to 30 in of table edge per chair.
• Pedestal or trestle tables give the rounded legs more room than four-leg tables.

Care

Vacuum fabric, boucle and velvet with an upholstery brush every week or two and blot spills straight away with a clean, dry cloth; do not rub. Wipe PPM-S with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Fluff and brush velvet pile in one direction to keep the sheen even. Keep the chair out of strong direct sun to protect the color. Fabric and leather vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.
