Frame finishes

The Hatay Soft Seat chair keeps the curved cane back of the Hatay and adds a padded, upholstered seat, so it is comfortable through a long dinner while the back stays open and light. Two set combinations are offered: a black seat on a walnut-finish wood frame for a warm, classic dining room, or a bone seat on a black frame for a crisper Japandi or modern look. The seat is easier to wipe than cane after meals, which makes this the more practical Hatay for everyday family dining. It is designed for homes rather than restaurant use.

Care

Dust the cane with a soft brush or the brush head of a vacuum, and wipe it with a barely damp cloth only when needed; let it dry naturally and keep the chair away from radiators and strong direct sun, which make cane brittle. Wipe the seat with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap. Dust the wood with a dry cloth. Cane and wood vary naturally in tone from piece to piece.
