Seat upholstery. Faux leather is the entry seat. PPM and PPM-FR are polyurethane performance leathers, nubuck is a soft brushed fabric and the off-white boucle is a looped fabric. Camira Era is a woven contract fabric, Camira Blazer is a wool cloth, and the caramel option is full-grain Italian leather. Screens show color slightly differently than real life.

Leg finishes

Gazel Pyramid Wood puts a swivel on a solid wood base: four square-section legs lean in to meet under the seat like the faces of a pyramid, with the swivel plate between legs and shell. It lets diners turn toward conversation or out from the table without dragging the chair, and the wood keeps the look soft and residential. Choose beech in a walnut finish, natural ash, or solid American walnut. The seat is a steel frame with S-shaped springs molded in polyurethane foam, made for home use.

Planning notes

• Allow about 26 in per chair so the seat can turn without hitting a neighbor.
• Use felt pads under the wood feet on finished floors.
• Natural ash suits light oak rooms; American walnut suits darker wood.
• Shipping: in-stock chairs ship in 3 to 5 business days. If your seat and leg combination is out of stock or on its way to our warehouse, please allow 10 to 15 weeks for it to ship.

Who it is not for

• Restaurants: the block lists residential use only; see the Gazel Stick or Gazel Sword swivel chairs
• Rolling: there are no casters; see the Gazel Spider with caster option

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Dust the wood with a dry cloth and avoid harsh cleaners. Wood, leather and fabric vary naturally in grain and shade from piece to piece.

Frequently asked questions

Does the Gazel Pyramid Wood swivel?

Yes. A swivel sits between the solid wood legs and the seat, so the seat turns while the legs stay put.

What is the seat height?

18.2 in, with an overall height of 33.5 in.

Which woods are offered?

Beech in a walnut finish, natural ash, and solid American walnut.

Can I use it in a cafe?

It is specified for residential use only.

Why does American walnut cost more?

Solid American walnut carries a surcharge over the beech and ash bases. The seat sets the rest: faux leather lowest, PPM, nubuck, boucle and Camira Era middle, Camira Blazer wool and Italian leather highest.

How much weight does it hold?

350 lb.
