Seat upholstery. Faux leather is the entry option. PPM is a polyurethane performance leather, PPM-FR is its flame-retardant version, nubuck is a soft brushed finish and the off-white seat is a looped boucle. Camira Era is a woven contract fabric, Camira Blazer is a wool contract fabric, and the caramel seat is full-grain Italian leather. Screens show color slightly differently than real life.

Base finishes

The Gazel Cat-Wire is the leanest-looking stool in the Gazel range: the tub seat sits on a four-leg frame drawn in solid steel rod, with a square foot rail low between the legs. The open frame keeps sight lines clear across an island or a bar, which helps when several stools line up in a row. Pick chrome for a bright, classic finish, black for an Industrial edge, or brass for warmth; plastic glides are set into the feet. Both heights sit higher than usual, with a 27.5 in counter seat and a 31 in bar seat, so check your counter before choosing.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.

Why is the counter seat 27.5 in?

This frame is taller than a typical counter stool. It suits counters from about 37 to 39 in; for a standard 36 in counter, a 24 in seat such as the Gazel Wood is a better fit.

Does it have a footrest?

Yes, a square solid steel foot rail joins the four legs.

What finishes are available?

Chrome, black powder coat and brass.

How much does it hold?

Why is the price different between seats?
