Seat upholstery. Faux leather is the entry option. PPM is a polyurethane performance leather, PPM-FR is its flame-retardant version, nubuck is a soft brushed finish, and the off-white and blue Camira Yoredale seats are boucle weaves. Camira Era is a woven contract fabric, Camira Blazer is a wool contract fabric, and the caramel seat is full-grain Italian leather. Screens show color slightly differently than real life.

Base finishes

The Gazel Arm Pyramid-MW stool puts the armed Gazel seat on a steel pyramid swivel base, four slim legs angled in under the seat and ringed by a footrest. It gives hospitality spaces the comfort of an armchair at bar height with a base made to take daily use, in walnut or natural veneer over steel with chrome, or black with a brass footrest. Every version swivels; choose the memory swivel and the seat returns to face the bar after each guest leaves, so the room resets itself. Its armed shell is built from a steel frame with springs, molded in foam and dressed in a removable cover.

Planning notes

• Choose Counter for 35 to 37 in counters; choose Bar for 39 to 41 in bar tops.
• Allow about 26 in per stool so swiveling arms don't collide.
• The memory swivel is worth it wherever a lineup of stools should face the counter between uses.
• Black with brass costs a little more; the veneer bases are the same price.
• Shipping: in-stock stools ship in 3 to 5 business days. If your seat and base combination is out of stock or on its way to our warehouse, please allow 10 to 15 weeks for it to ship.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.

Frequently asked questions

What does memory swivel do?

The seat turns freely, then rotates back to its starting position when you stand up, keeping a row of stools aligned.

Counter or bar height?

Counter has a 25.5 in seat; bar has a 29.5 in seat.

How much weight does it hold?

It is rated for 300 lb.

Why do prices differ?

Faux leather seats cost the least and Camira Blazer wool or Italian leather the most, with PPM, nubuck, boucle and Camira fabrics between. The black and brass base and the memory swivel each add a surcharge.
