Frame finishes

Flamingo is a cantilever dining armchair: two continuous ribbons of bent beech plywood form the arms, legs and runners, and a hand-woven canvas webbing seat and back is stretched between them. The runners rest flat on the floor, so the chair glides rather than digs in, and the open frame gives a gentle spring when you sit. It comes in three set pairings, coffee canvas on walnut, grey canvas on black, and white canvas on natural beech, from warm Mid-Century to pale Scandinavian. The breathable webbing and wide arms make it a relaxed host chair, a dining chair for long meals, or a desk chair in a study.

Care

Vacuum the canvas webbing with a brush attachment and spot-clean marks with a cloth dampened in mild soapy water, then let it air dry; do not soak. Dust the plywood frame with a dry or barely damp cloth and avoid solvent cleaners. Keep out of long direct sun, which can fade canvas and wood.
