Seat upholstery. The Falcon seat comes in five PPM-S colors (a silicone-finish performance leatherette) or two Camira Blazer wool fabrics. Screens show color slightly differently than real life.

Leg finishes

Falcon Pyramid Wood stands on four solid wood legs that splay out from a central swivel hub, the pyramid shape that gives the stool its name and its wide, steady footprint. A metal ring circles the legs as a footrest, chrome on most versions and gold on the American walnut with black mechanism. The seat swivels, so it is easy to get on and off at a crowded island. Beech in walnut finish and natural ash are the everyday choices; solid American walnut is the showpiece for Mid-Century and Modern Organic interiors.

Planning notes

• The bar seat is 27.5 in high, about 2 in lower than standard; it suits 37 to 39 in bar tops.
• Splayed legs need a little more floor than straight legs; allow about 24 in per stool.
• Pick the gold-footrest walnut version to echo brass lighting or hardware.
• Solid wood legs will show their grain; each stool looks slightly different.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Dust the wood with a dry cloth and avoid harsh cleaners. Wood, leather and fabric vary naturally in grain and shade from piece to piece.
