Finish. Each finish is a set combination of steel frame, solid ash legs and plywood veneer: matt black with walnut, white with natural oak, or bronze (gold) with black oak. Screens show color slightly differently than real life.

Leg and frame finishes

Esedra combines three materials in one slim chair: a molded plywood seat and back, a steel seat frame and back spine, and four tapered solid ash legs capped where they meet the steel. The result looks like a schoolhouse chair refined for the dining room, with the warmth of wood at the floor and a crisp metal line at the seat. Each finish is a coordinated set: walnut veneer with walnut ash legs on matt black, natural oak with natural ash on white, or black oak with black ash on bronze (gold) for a dressier room. The 17.7 in seat and 21.2 in width suit cafes, restaurants and family tables alike.

Care

Wipe the veneer and the steel frame with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry them straight away; skip abrasive pads, ammonia and silicone polishes, which cloud the lacquer and dull painted steel. Keep chairs out of long direct sun to slow color change in the veneer, and use felt or rubber glides on stone and tile. Veneer grain and tone vary from chair to chair.
