Leg finishes

The Dervish Star armchair stands on four steel-tube legs that splay out from a central hub, a light, Mid-Century stance that keeps the rounded Dervish seat looking lifted. It is the most adaptable of the fixed Dervish bases: black or gold for a crisp look, chrome or wood veneer with adjustable leveling caps for uneven floors, or a ring between the legs in brass or polished steel for extra bracing and a dressier finish. The legs do not swivel, so the chair stays put at the table. A molded-foam seat over a steel frame and S-shaped springs gives the shell its soft, supportive feel, and the cover zips off.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.
