Leg finishes

The Dervish Plywood armchair borrows from mid-century molded furniture: two bent plywood leg frames cross under the seat, giving a soft, continuous curve that echoes the round Dervish shell. It is a natural fit for Scandinavian and Mid-Century dining rooms, and the flat leg profile is easy to wipe down in cafes. Pick a pale natural finish, dark wenge, or American walnut veneer, and add the memory swivel if you want the seat to turn and return to center, which lifts the seat by about 1 in. The upholstered shell is steel with S-springs, molded in polyurethane foam and finished with a zippered cover.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Dust the wood with a dry cloth and avoid harsh cleaners. Wood, leather and fabric vary naturally in grain and shade from piece to piece.
