The Daisy marble table sets a 32 in round of white Carrara on a central post and a five-prong base, the shape restaurants use because five feet stand firm on any floor. A center pedestal leaves the edge free, so two or three chairs pull in without knocking a leg. The post and base come in chrome, brushed gold, black, or a scratch-resistant silver made for commercial floors. Gold with Carrara suits a glamorous Transitional room; black with white stone reads Modern.

Care
Natural marble is sealed and polished, but it is still porous: use coasters and placemats, wipe up wine, citrus, coffee and oil right away, and clean with a soft cloth and mild pH-neutral soap. Avoid vinegar, bleach and abrasive pads, which etch the surface. Reseal the top once or twice a year. Veining and shade vary from slab to slab. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth.
