Seat upholstery. PPM is a polyurethane performance leather with a soft, leather-like hand. The gold velvet is a plush pile fabric. Camira Era is a woven contract fabric, and Camira Blazer is a pure new wool contract fabric in deeper, richer colors. Screens show color slightly differently than real life.

Base finishes

The Crescent Spider is the Crescent seat on a cast aluminum spider base with five low spokes and a swivel, the version to choose when the chair needs to move as well as turn. With glides it works as a dining or meeting chair; add office casters and it rolls like a desk chair, with the seat rising from 17 to about 19 in. The aluminum comes polished, black or in a brass finish, so it can look technical in an office or polished in a dining room. The seat is a steel frame with S-shaped springs inside molded polyurethane foam, under a zippered slipcover.

Planning notes

• With glides the 17 in seat suits 29 to 30 in tables; casters raise it to about 19 in, which suits most desks.
• Use a chair mat or hard floor with casters; glides are better on rugs.
• The five spokes stick out past the seat, so allow a little more space between chairs than with legged bases.
• Shipping: in-stock chairs ship in 3 to 5 business days. If your seat and base combination is out of stock or on its way to our warehouse, please allow 10 to 15 weeks for it to ship.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.
