Seat upholstery. PPM is a polyurethane performance leather with a soft, leather-like hand. The gold velvet is a plush pile fabric. Camira Era is a woven contract fabric, and Camira Blazer is a pure new wool contract fabric in deeper, richer colors. Screens show color slightly differently than real life.

Leg finishes

The Crescent Plywood sets the rounded Crescent seat on four curved, bent plywood legs, a molded-wood idea with deep Mid-Century and Scandinavian roots that looks warm and light at the same time. The curved plywood flexes slightly and stays comfortable through long dinners, and it brings wood grain to the table without a heavy, solid-wood look. Choose natural, wenge or American walnut veneer, and order it fixed or with a memory swivel that turns and then returns the seat; the swivel adds 1 in to the seat height. The seat is a sprung steel frame in molded foam with a zippered slipcover.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Dust the wood with a dry cloth and avoid harsh cleaners. Wood, leather and fabric vary naturally in grain and shade from piece to piece.

Frequently asked questions

Are the legs solid wood?

The legs are bent plywood: thin wood layers molded into a curve, which is strong and slightly springy. They come in natural, wenge or American walnut veneer.

Can it swivel?

Yes, with the optional memory swivel. The seat turns and then returns to face the table. The standard chair is fixed.

Does the swivel raise the seat?

Yes, by about 1 in, from 17 in to about 18 in.

How much weight does it hold?

It is rated for 350 lb.

Why do the prices differ?

PPM, velvet and Camira Era seats are the standard tier, and Camira Blazer wool seats cost more. The memory swivel is a surcharged option; the three wood finishes cost the same.

How do I care for the plywood legs?

Dust with a dry cloth and avoid soaking or harsh cleaners; wipe up spills quickly.
