Seat upholstery. PPM is a polyurethane performance leather with a soft, leather-like hand. The gold velvet is a plush pile fabric. Camira Era is a woven contract fabric, and Camira Blazer is a pure new wool contract cloth. Screens show color slightly differently than real life.

Base finishes

The Crescent Office is a round, bowl-shaped seat whose low back curls around you like a crescent moon, mounted on a five-star office base with gas lift, tilt and casters. The compact, almost sculptural outline is a favorite for creative studios, salons and home offices where the chair stays on show. The back is low, so it works for short sessions, meetings and video calls more than for long desk days. The seat is a steel frame with S-shaped springs inside molded foam, under a zippered slipcover.

• Creative studios and design offices
• Salons, boutiques and consultation desks
• Home offices on show from the living room

Planning notes

• The 15 to 18 in seat is low; it suits 26 to 28 in desks and lounge-height tables.
• At 24 in round, allow about 28 in per chair at a table.
• The low back makes it a meeting or guest chair rather than an all-day task chair.
• Gold velvet and colored PPM make it a statement piece; Camira wool suits quieter rooms.
• Shipping: in-stock chairs ship in 3 to 5 business days. If your seat and base combination is out of stock or on its way to our warehouse, please allow 10 to 15 weeks for it to ship.

Who it is not for

• Standard 30 in desks for long workdays: see the Gazel or Avanos office chairs
• Anyone who needs back support above the shoulder blades
• Rooms that need a faux leather option: Crescent is offered in PPM and fabric only

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.

Frequently asked questions

How low is the seat?

The gas lift sets the seat from 15 to 18 in, lower than most office chairs.

Is it comfortable for a full workday?

The low back is best for meetings, short desk sessions and guest seating. For long days, a taller-backed chair like the Gazel Office fits better.

Does it tilt and swivel?

Yes. The five-star base has full tilt, swivel and casters.

How much weight does it hold?

It is rated for 350 lb.

Why do the prices differ?

PPM, velvet and Camira Era seats are the lower tier and Camira Blazer wool is the upper tier. The gold and aluminum bases add a small surcharge.

Can I use my own fabric?

Yes. It takes 1.4 yd of fabric or 25 sq ft of leather. Contact us for customer's-own-material orders.
