Base finishes

The Corona Piston T stool is the most economical adjustable stool in the Corona line: the plywood seat rides on a stainless steel gas-lift column that swivels and moves from counter to bar height with a lever, with a straight T-shaped footrest across the front. The simple footrest keeps the base compact and easy to clean around, which suits cafes, labs, salons and family kitchens. Choose a polished or brushed round base, or a polished square base for a more architectural look. A removable pad cushions the seat and back.

Planning notes

• The 21 to 31 in seat range covers counters from about 33 to 43 in.
• Allow about 24 in per stool so swiveling seats have room.
• The square base sits flush to walls and cabinet fronts; the round base is easier to tuck under overhangs.
• Choose brushed steel to hide fingerprints and scuffs.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.
