The Coral Soft Seat takes the plywood cafe chair and adds a padded black PPM-S seat, so guests stay comfortable through a long dinner or meeting. Order it with a walnut veneer back for a two-tone look, or with the back padded to match for a quieter, all-black profile. The gunmetal steel frame keeps Coral's tapered back legs and slim front legs, giving a soft industrial sheen that pairs well with concrete, walnut and blackened steel. At 16 in wide with a 19 in seat, it fits closely along banquettes and long tables in restaurants, offices and homes.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.

What is the difference between the two versions?

Both have a padded black PPM-S seat on a gunmetal frame. One keeps a walnut veneer plywood back; the other has the back padded and upholstered to match the seat.

What is the seat height?

The seat is 19 in high, about an inch taller than the plywood Coral, and the chair stands 32 in overall.

Why does the padded back cost more?

The fully upholstered version adds foam and PPM-S to the back, so it costs more than the version with a walnut veneer back. The frame is the same on both.

What is PPM-S?

PPM-S is a polyurethane performance leather with a silicone finish. It feels soft, wipes clean with a damp cloth and carries a 5-year guarantee.
