Seat. Each Cattelan seat is carved from one piece of solid hardwood: ash in an antique brushed or natural finish, sungkai, mindi in a wenge finish, teak in a walnut finish, or American walnut. Grain varies from seat to seat, and screens show wood slightly differently than real life.

Base finishes

The Cattelan Wire stool sets a thick, carved solid wood saddle seat on a slim triangulated steel wire base, a classic workshop stool shape that suits kitchen counters, cafes and breweries. The seat is shaped with a gentle rear lip so you sit in it rather than on it, and the wire frame includes a footrest bar between the legs. Pick one of six hardwood seats and a chrome, black or brass base. It is backless and light, so it tucks fully under a counter overhang when not in use.

Care

Dust the solid wood seat with a soft, dry cloth and wipe spills promptly with a barely damp cloth, then dry it. Avoid soaking the wood, harsh cleaners and abrasive pads. Wipe the steel wire base with a soft, dry cloth. Each seat is cut from solid wood, so grain and color vary naturally from stool to stool.
