Seat. Every Cattelan seat is carved from one solid hardwood: antique-brushed ash, sungkai, mindi in a wenge finish, teak in a walnut finish, or American walnut, which costs a little more. Grain and tone vary from seat to seat, and screens show wood slightly differently than real life.

Cattelan Baba is the all-wood version of the Cattelan stool: a carved solid wood seat set on four sturdy solid wood legs joined by stretchers you can rest your feet on. It suits kitchens and cafés that want warmth rather than metal, and the dark teak wenge or pale sungkai white oak frame lets you lean the look Industrial or Scandinavian. A memory swivel mechanism can be added under the seat; it turns as you get up and returns the seat to face the counter, and it raises the seat by about 1 in. This model is a promotional item, offered while warehouse stock lasts.

Care

Dust the solid wood seat with a soft, dry cloth and wipe spills right away with a barely damp cloth, then dry. Avoid soaking the wood, harsh cleaners and abrasive pads. Wipe the base with a soft, dry cloth. Each seat is cut from solid wood, so grain and color vary naturally from stool to stool.
