Base finishes

The Bottega Tower lifts the Bottega armchair on a tower of welded steel wire, a cross-braced base in the spirit of the classic Eiffel chair. The open wirework keeps the chair visually light from every side, which helps in small dining rooms and in restaurants where many chairs are seen at once. Plastic glides are set into the wire so the base does not mark the floor. Order the wire in chrome, black or red for a graphic, Industrial or Mid-Century look, or in gold for a dressier room. The seat is a steel frame with S-shaped springs inside molded polyurethane foam, with a zip-on slipcover.

Planning notes

• Seat height is 17 in, for 29 to 30 in tables.
• Allow about 26 in of table length per chair.
• Red and gold wire make a statement; chrome and black blend in with most tables.
• The high back is not offered in PPM.
• Shipping: in-stock chairs ship in 3 to 5 business days. If your seat and base combination is out of stock or on its way to our warehouse, please allow 10 to 15 weeks for it to ship.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.

Does it swivel?

No. The tower base is fixed. The Bottega Stick and Bottega Sword are the swivel versions with leg-style bases.
