Seat upholstery. Faux leather is the entry option. PPM and nubuck PPM are polyurethane performance leathers. Camira fabrics are woven contract fabrics. Screens show color slightly differently than real life.

Leg finishes

The Bottega Sword turns on four flat steel legs shaped like blades, which taper as they reach the floor and give the swivel base a crisp, architectural profile. Seen from the side the legs almost disappear, so the upholstered shell seems to float, a look that suits Modern and Transitional dining rooms and executive offices. Choose black or gold steel, or steel wrapped in walnut or natural veneer for a wood look. Screw-in glides protect the floor. The seat is a steel frame with S-shaped springs inside molded polyurethane foam, and the slipcover zips off. A high back version is available.

• Seat height is 17 in, for 29 to 30 in tables and desks.
• Allow about 26 in of table length per chair.
• The veneer legs pair well with wood tables; black and gold suit stone and glass tops.
• The high back is not offered in PPM.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.

Faux leather costs least; PPM, velvet, boucle and Camira Era are the middle tier; Camira Blazer wool and Italian leather are the top tier. Gold legs and the high back are extra.

Is there a taller back?

Yes. The high back raises the back 3.5 in and is available in every cover except PPM.
