Leg finishes

The Bottega Stick looks like a four-legged armchair but turns like an office chair: four slim steel tube legs splay out from a swivel plate under the seat. You get the familiar stance of a dining chair, with a leg near each corner, and the freedom to turn toward a neighbor or a screen without dragging the chair. The legs come in chrome, black, walnut or natural veneer, gold or brass, so one model can work in a warm wood-toned room or a crisp metal one. The seat is a sprung steel frame inside molded polyurethane foam, and the slipcover zips off.

Planning notes

• Seat height is 17 in, for 29 to 30 in tables.
• Because the legs reach the corners, it is steadier than a pedestal swivel on uneven floors.
• Allow about 26 in of table length per chair.
• The high back is not offered in PPM.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.

Does it really swivel with four legs?

Yes. The four legs are fixed to a swivel plate, so the seat turns while the legs stay put.

They are steel tubes finished with walnut or natural wood veneer.

Why do the prices differ?

Faux leather is the entry price, PPM, velvet, boucle and Camira Era are in the middle, and Camira Blazer wool and Italian leather are at the top. Gold and brass legs, and the high back, are extra-cost options.

Is there a taller version?

Yes, the high back option adds 3.5 in to the back. It is not offered in PPM.
