Base finishes

The Bottega Piston puts the Bottega arm seat on a gas-lift column, so one stool covers both counter and bar height: a lever under the seat raises or lowers it between 22 and 31 in. The seat also swivels a full circle, and a full round footrest circles the column so feet have support at any height. The 17.5 in round base sits flat and keeps the stool steady on hard floors. Choose polished stainless steel, brushed stainless steel or black. The seat is a steel frame with S-shaped springs in molded polyurethane foam, with a removable slipcover.

Planning notes

• The seat adjusts from 22 to 31 in, covering 35 to 37 in counters and 40 to 42 in bar tops.
• Allow 26 to 28 in of counter per stool so neighbors can swivel.
• The round base needs a flat floor; on rugs it may feel less steady.
• The high back is not offered in PPM.
• Shipping: in-stock stools ship in 3 to 5 business days. If your seat and base combination is out of stock or on its way to our warehouse, please allow 10 to 15 weeks for it to ship.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.
