Base finishes

The Bottega Harris sets the Bottega armchair on a slim frame of steel tube that runs from the seat straight to the floor in clean, upright lines. The thin tubing gives a tailored, almost drawn-in-pencil outline that suits hotel restaurants, cocktail lounges and dining rooms with a Modern or Art Deco edge. Black is the everyday finish; brass, gold and copper turn the base into a feature that echoes metal light fixtures and bar hardware. The shell is a steel frame with S-shaped springs in molded polyurethane foam under a zip-on slipcover, and a high back is available.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.
