Base finishes

The Bottega Carrot swivels on a solid metal hub that drops into four tapered tubular legs, slim at the floor and fuller at the top, the profile that gives the base its name. The two-tone finishes are the point: black legs with a brass hub for a warm, jewelry-like accent, or walnut legs with a polished stainless hub for a Mid-Century feel. Screw-in glides protect the floor, and the seat turns a full circle so diners and colleagues can face each other without moving the chair. The shell has a steel frame with S-shaped springs in molded polyurethane foam and a zip-on slipcover.

Planning notes

• Seat height is 17 in, for 29 to 30 in tables.
• Allow about 26 in of table length per chair.
• The legs reach the corners, so it stays steady while it turns.
• The high back is not offered in PPM.
• Shipping: in-stock chairs ship in 3 to 5 business days. If your seat and base combination is out of stock or on its way to our warehouse, please allow 10 to 15 weeks for it to ship.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.
