Leg finishes

The Bottega Ana sets the Bottega armchair on four slender, tapered steel legs, each wrapped near the top with a polished metal collar. The collars catch the light at seat level when the chair is pushed in, so the base picks up brass or chrome from nearby lighting and hardware. Choose walnut veneer legs with chrome collars, or black legs with brass or chrome collars. The seat sits a little higher than most Bottega chairs, at 18.6 in, over a steel frame with S-shaped springs and molded foam, and the zip-on slipcover can be replaced. Screw-in glides protect the floor, and a high back version is available.

Planning notes

• The 18.6 in seat suits 30 in tables; with a 29 in table, check knee clearance under the apron.
• Arms stand 27 in high, so most will not slide under a table with an apron; plan the spacing with the chairs pulled out slightly.
• Allow about 26 in of table length per chair.
• The high back is not offered in PPM.
• Shipping: in-stock chairs ship in 3 to 5 business days. If your seat and leg combination is out of stock or on its way to our warehouse, please allow 10 to 15 weeks for it to ship.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.

Each leg has a metal collar near the top, in chrome or brass, as a decorative accent that matches other metal finishes in the room.

Are the legs wood?

No. They are steel legs; the walnut version is wrapped in walnut veneer, the others are black powder coat.

Why do the prices differ?
