Base finishes

The Bottega 4 Star seats the Bottega armchair on a four-prong steel star with a memory swivel, so the chair turns freely while someone is seated and then returns to face the table when they stand up. That self-aligning action keeps a conference room or a long dining table looking orderly without anyone straightening chairs. The four prongs give a wider footprint than a pedestal, so the chair feels planted while it turns. The seat is a steel frame with S-shaped springs inside molded polyurethane foam, finished with a zip-on slipcover. The base comes in chrome, black or white, or in gold or brass, and a high back is available.

Planning notes

• Seat height is 17 in, for standard 29 to 30 in tables.
• The star base spans 24.4 in, about the width of the chair, so allow 26 to 28 in of table length per seat.
• Memory return brings the seat back to its starting position once nobody is sitting in it.
• The high back is not offered in PPM.
• Shipping: in-stock chairs ship in 3 to 5 business days. If your seat and base combination is out of stock or on its way to our warehouse, please allow 10 to 15 weeks for it to ship.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.

Does the high back come in every cover?

No. The high back is made in faux leather, fabric, wool and leather, but not in PPM.
