Leg finishes

The Athena Stick looks like a classic four-legged dining chair, but its slim steel tube legs are joined at a hidden swivel, so the seat turns while the legs stay planted. It is a good choice when you want a swivel at the table without the office-chair look of a star base. The tubes come in black, chrome, gold or brass, or wrapped in walnut or natural wood veneer for a Mid-Century feel. Under the upholstery, S-shaped springs on a steel frame are set in injected foam, so the seat keeps its shape at the table.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.
