Leg finishes

The Athena Star is the simplest way into the Athena collection: the rounded, sprung shell on four straight steel tube legs that splay out like the points of a star. It does not swivel, so it behaves like a classic dining chair at the table. Pick plain black or gold legs, chrome or wood-veneer legs with adjustable leveling caps for uneven floors, or a version with a ring tying the legs together, black with gold or walnut with stainless steel. At 17.5 in, the seat sits a little lower than most Athena models.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.

Leveling feet at the bottom of the legs that screw in or out, so the chair sits steady on an uneven floor. They come on the chrome, walnut veneer and natural veneer legs.

Does the Athena Star swivel?
