Leg finishes

On the Athena Carrot, a solid metal hub under the seat feeds four tubular legs that taper toward the floor, like the vegetable that gives the base its name. The hub carries a swivel, so the seat turns while the legs stay where they are. Two finishes are offered: black powder coat with brass tips for a dressy Art Deco note, or walnut with polished stainless steel tips for Mid-Century rooms. The Athena shell on top is a sprung steel frame molded in polyurethane foam.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.
