Leg finishes

The Athena Ana is the fixed-leg version of the Athena armchair: four tapered metal legs splay out from the seat and are tied together by a metal ring a few inches below it. The ring stiffens the base and adds a thin line of chrome or brass that reads as jewelry under the shell. It does not swivel, which suits formal dining rooms and restaurant tables where chairs should stay square. The walnut veneer legs bring warmth; the black legs look sharper. The seat is a sprung steel frame in molded polyurethane foam.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.
