Seat upholstery. Faux leather is the entry option. PPM, PPM-S and Italian PPM are polyurethane performance leathers; nubuck, boucle, Camira fabrics and wool give a softer, textured seat; Camira Blazer wool and black full-grain leather are the premium covers. Leg finishes
The Aria Wood stool is the slimmest upholstered wood stool in the sohoConcept range, 16.5 in wide, so more seats fit along an island without crowding. It stands on four solid wood legs at counter or bar height: beech in walnut or wenge finish, solid American walnut, walnut-finish beech with a chrome footrest ring, or black sandblasted ash with a brass footrest. The squared Aria seat is sprung and foam-molded, with a Velcro slipcover in 39 colors. Rated for 400 lb, it handles restaurant bars as well as family kitchens.

Planning notes
- Counter (24 in seat) suits 35 to 37 in counters; Bar (29 in seat) suits 40 to 42 in bar tops.
- At 16.5 in wide, allow about 22 to 24 in of counter per stool.
- Leave 10 to 12 in between the seat and the underside of the counter.
- Pick the chrome-ring or brass-footrest base if feet will rest on the stool all evening; metal resists wear better than wood rungs.

Care
Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Dust the wood with a dry cloth and avoid harsh cleaners. Wood, leather and fabric vary naturally in grain and shade from piece to piece.
