Seat upholstery. Faux leather is the entry seat. PPM-FR is a polyurethane performance leather, and the velvet and boucle are soft upholstery fabrics. Camira Blazer is a pure new wool contract cloth. Screens show color slightly differently than real life.

Base finishes

The Amed+ Office takes the fuller, more generously padded Amed+ seat and mounts it on a five-star office base with a gas lift, full tilt and casters. It suits a home office or a meeting room where the desk chair should match the dining and lounge pieces instead of looking like standard task seating. The seat is a steel frame with S-shaped springs inside molded polyurethane foam, finished with a Velcro-fastened slipcover that can be changed later. Choose a chrome, black or gold base, or the slightly wider aluminum base, and match it to the desk legs or the lighting.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.

Frequently asked questions

How high does the seat go?

The gas lift moves the seat from 17.5 to 21.5 in, which covers standard desks and most conference tables.

Does it tilt and roll?

Yes. The five-star base has a full-tilt mechanism, swivels all the way around and rolls on casters.

How is Amed+ different from the regular Amed Office?

Amed+ has a thicker, more cushioned seat and back on the same office base. It is rated for 400 lb, like the Amed.

Why do the prices differ?

Faux leather is the lowest-priced seat. PPM-FR, velvet and boucle cost more, and Camira Blazer wool costs the most. The gold and aluminum bases carry a small surcharge.
