Seat and Frame. The solid teak seat is the same grade A teak as the frame. The cane seat is woven natural rattan, and the leatherette seat is a padded black faux leather. Screens show color slightly differently than real life.

Frame finishes

The Alfresco Armchair is a solid teak dining armchair for patios, covered terraces and restaurant gardens, with a curved top rail that runs straight into the arms and gives the back and elbows one continuous support. The frame is grade A teak with a natural finish, and the seat comes in solid teak, woven natural rattan cane or padded black leatherette. The cane and leatherette versions are also made with walnut or black finished teak, which lets the same chair work indoors in a dining room or café. A waterproof, fade-resistant outdoor seat cushion can be added to the teak or cane seat for longer meals outside.

Care

Grade A teak is a naturally oily, weather-resistant hardwood. Left outdoors it slowly weathers to a soft silver-grey, and the grain may rise slightly after the first few soakings. Clean it once or twice a year with a soft brush, mild soap and water; never use a power washer, which erodes the surface. Teak cannot be painted or varnished. For winter storage use a dry shed or garage, and do not move the piece straight from the cold into a heated room, as sudden changes in temperature and humidity can split the wood.

Yes. The outdoor seat cushion fabric is waterproof, durable and fade resistant. Store it indoors in long wet spells to keep it fresh.
