The Salt and Pepper set pairs two of Pablo’s cordless Candél lamps: one Clear/White, one Smoke/Black, each with its own USB charging cable. Together they make a playful, balanced centerpiece for a dining table, a mantel or a pair of nightstands. Each dims by touch through four levels as the light warms from 2500K to 1800K, and runs 10 to 150+ hours per charge.

Designed by the Pablo Studio in San Francisco; winner of a 2020 Hospitality Design Product Award and 2021 International Design Awards Gold. Candél won Gold for Illumination at the 2021 International Design Awards and a 2020 Hospitality Design Product Award.

Venezuelan-born industrial designer Pablo Pardo founded Pablo Designs in San Francisco in 1993, after a career that ran from Fisher-Price roller skates to Chrysler concept cars. His lights have won Best Lighting at ICFF, Best of Competition at NeoCon, a Red Dot and a German Design Award, and SFMOMA holds his work in its permanent collection. It was developed in San Francisco by the Pablo Studio, the company’s in-house team of makers and inventors.

Buy once: durability and care

There are no bulbs or wicks to replace, and Candél carries a one-year Pablo Designs warranty. Our care advice: dust the acrylic vessel with a soft microfiber cloth (avoid paper towels and solvents, which can scratch acrylic), keep it out of rain and sprinklers, and recharge it every few months when it is stored.
