Plumette 6 to 8-Light Crystal Chandelier, 28 to 36 in, Chestnut Bronze or Gold Leaf, by Maxim

The Maxim Plumette chandelier is a traditional fixture sized for a dining room, a living room or a bedroom. It comes in widths from 28 to 36 in, with 6 to 8 lights, in Chestnut Bronze or Gold Leaf. It adjusts to an overall height of up to 105.5 in on its chain.

Each socket takes an E12 Candelabra bulb up to 60W. A 2700K to 3000K LED bulb keeps the light warm over a table; 3500K suits a kitchen work area. Crystal softens the light and cuts glare at eye level. Choose Chestnut Bronze or Gold Leaf to match hardware, faucets or cabinet pulls in the room; it suits Traditional schemes.

Where it works best

For a room, add its length and width in feet; the total in inches is a good chandelier width (a 12 x 14 ft room takes about a 26 in fixture). Over a dining table, choose a width about 12 in narrower than the table and hang the bottom 30 to 36 in above the tabletop. In a room without a table, keep the bottom at least 7 ft above the floor.

Who this is not for

It is dry rated, so it is not for a shower area, an uncovered porch or other damp spots. Bulbs are sold separately. With an overall height of up to 95.5 in, it is sized for ceilings of about 9 ft and taller.

Why we carry Maxim

Maxim matches its finishes across collections, so a chandelier, its pendants and its sconces read as one scheme. That is how we build a room around one fixture.

Care and installation

Dust with a soft, dry cloth; clean glass with a lint-free cloth and glass cleaner, with the power off. A qualified electrician should make the connection. Assembly sheets: 12166 (PDF), 12168 (PDF).
